Holes in the floor of Heaven

One day when he was eight years old,

His grandma passed away,

He was a broken hearted little boy,

Blowing out that birthday cake,

How he cried when the sky let go,

Where the cold lonesome rained,

Mama smiled said,

"Don't be sad child,

Grandma's watching you today,

Cause there is holes in the floor of heaven,

And the tears are pouring down,

And that's how you know she's watching,

Wishing she could be here now,

And sometimes when you are lonely,

Just remember she is watching over you and me"

Seasons come and seasons go,

Nothing stays the same,

He grew up, fell in love,

Met a girl who took his name,

Year by year they made a life,

In that sleepy little town,

He thought they grow old together,

Lord he sure miss her now,

And he still remember those words,

His mother said on his eight birthday,

And the tears just poured out,

As he thought of her,

Sitting under the oak tree,

Laughing and smiling,

He would never forget the look,

In her eyes as they held each other tight,

Now his little daughter is twenty three?

He walked her down the aisle,

Its a shame that her mother,

Cannot be here now,

To see her lovely smile,

They throw the rice,

He catches her eyes,

As the rain storms coming down,

She takes his hand,

Says, "Don't be sad Dad,

Because I know Mom's

Watching over you and me"
